Ana Rosa Curbelo Martinez
"For me dance is a way of expressing with your body what the words cannot say. Dancing is to be in another dimension, out in another space, feeling the company of the melody that is the words."
Born and bred in Cerro of Havana Ana Rosa's first steps in the artistic world were in her primary school where she participated in many cultural activities and dance performances from the 1st to the 6th grade. In 5th grade she became part of the Danza group (Casa de la Cultura del Cerro) in which she stay until late into high school.
Through her dancing in the Casa de la Cultura del Cerro Ana Rosa was qualified as a professional dancer and participated in various events in the region of Havana. At young age of 13 she joined the Comparsa Tradicional El Alacran which is one of the most popular carnival groups in Havana and she was dancing there until she was 16 years old.
Currently Ana is working in the famous Macumba Habana performing and singing. She specialises in national and international music mixing all the rhythms and works closely with her tutor, Caruca, who is one of the most famous coreografers and instructors in Cuba. Her dream is to travel the world and perform in the great theatres of the world. She would also love to teach children her knowledge of dancing.

Yaslin Duarte Casamayor
Born and bred in Mariano in Havana Yaslin has always loved the Cuban music and dance and since he was a little wanted a career in dance. During his school years he spent the holidays in dance courses in Casa de la Cultura Mariano and when he finished his studies at the Jose Marti Polytechnic he secured a place at the Danza company, Teatro de Variedades Americas.
In the Danza company Yaslin studied all the Cuban folkloric and popular dance and regularly performed in different night venues around Havana that improved his knowledge of dancing and performing.
